Your home should be both beautiful and functional. You should never have to compromise the way you live because of poor design.

Since I can remember, I have always loved home design. Growing up, I would watch This Old House with my Dad, helped him on home construction projects and became fascinated with the craft and technical sides of home design.  I painted columns on the walls of my bedroom and even tried to convince my parents to add a bay window to my room. I was in pursuit of the perfect space. When I was 9, my family left our Vintage Victorian Farm home in Minnesota for an adventure of a lifetime and spent several years living aboard a 45ft sailboat in the Caribbean. Living in a unique space helped shape my thoughts about what a Home is and what a Home can be.

After returning to Minnesota my creativity and talents were fostered with my acceptance at the Perpich Center for Arts Education Arts High School. AT PCAE I studied visual arts from painting and drawing to graphic design and animation. I continued to study art and design at the University of Minnesota as well as Architecture. Bringing my two passions together, I received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Studio Arts and Architecture in 2003.

In 2005 I joined a BBA Architects, a custom residential design firm in Chicago, Illinois and spent 15 years as an integral part of the firm. As a Senior Architect at BBA I honed my design, technical and leadership skills leading a large range of high-end custom residential projects across the United States. In 2020 I started OBJEKT Architecture to design lifestyle homes for the way you want to live. From home renovations and additions, landmark restorations, to new construction homes, I love turning a design challenge into a creative solution that is beautiful and functional for you.  The difference is in details. I have designed homes in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Wisconsin and China and my work has been published in national magazines such as Elle Decor.

In addition to my love of design, I love to travel. I have traveled all over the world seeking out new design inspiration in every place I visit. Some of my favorite places I have traveled to are Singapore, Japan and Italy. Not only do these places have beautiful architecture and art to be inspired by, but the food is amazing as well!
